Lane Furniture - RV Theater Seating, Material falling apart
We have a 2014 Fifth Wheel that came with Lane Theater Seating, after less than 2 years of use the material on the backs is separating and falling off. After numerous attempts asking for guidance and help from Lane, the ones they referred us to, who referred us to someone else, who referred us to another..and so it went.
We were finally told there was no repair that would hold. The oils from your head cause this problem....No help available. If your RV comes equipped with Lane furniture in the leather like material, either have them remove this furniture or cover the headrest area for the life of the furniture or suffer the mess of deterioration after a short time of use.
In other words....ditch the Lane.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Monetary Loss: $800.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Lane Furniture Pros: I liked the look of the piece i purchased.
Lane Furniture Cons: Poor problem solution.

We have the exact problem in a 2016 Sanibel we just purchased. I was hoping to get slip covers for them, but it looks like they donโt make such a thing? I didnโt realize this was a thing....disappointed.....
I too have experienced this problem in my 2014 Crusader Two years in and was so sad as Lane furniture use to have quality furniture. My theater chairs are so bad and arms head rest and middle compartment look terrible.
Iโve got to replace them!
Help Lane!Iโve had my 5th wheel 7 years. The couch just started peeling as well!
We have 2014 Crusader touring edition 325 res and have the same issue with the recliners . You would think that for 54k they would have the courtesy to address this issue. Other than that and the oven that doesn't work it's a great coach.
The reason for the material falling apart is because Lane has chosen to use cheap "Chinese" bonded leather, and I use the term loosely as it isn't leather at all, it is vinyl. I had a re-upholsterer with 40 years of experience look at the 5 theater chairs I have and he is the one that told me it isn't leather nor even an American vinyl.
It is about the cheapest material that can be used. Stay away from Lane furniture!
We are going thru the same thing! Our camper is a 2015 Montana High Country which cost us over $60k and I was excited to see it had Lane leather furniture.
One of the selling points that got our attention. We haven't camped a lot and haven't gone since December and we went this past week and was shocked at our couch! It is literally dry rotting! I can't believe we will have to spend so much to replace it.
Our recliners seem fine so far. This is completely uncalled for!
Would you by chance have a Forrest River RV. First is your head did not cause the problem.
What we both have is called bonded leather. It is not worth bringing home and should be illegal to sell.
A law was passed several years ago making it illegal to represent it as leather, but our RV salesmen did not abide by the law. None of the manufacturers or RV dealers will stand by their junk.
We have a similar problem, but over the entire chair, on our RV theater seating made by a company called Allure. The "leather" is flaking off everywhere, exposing the foam cushion underneath.
The RV is 3 years old! Getting no satisfaction from manufacturer.
Mine came apart on bottom of recliner. Sooo disappointed.
This furniture is why we bought this camper. No more lane furniture for me or crusader camper
