I purchased a Leather sofa and Recliner manufactured by Lane Furniture. I started having problems with the recliner less than a year after I bought it.

Bolts would just fall in the floor out of the recliner. Eventually the recliner just fell to the right side like it was broken. Also the color began to come off the right armrest like you had poured a cup of bleach on the armrest. No problems with the sofa.

The recliner looks like it's 10 years old in comparison to the recliner. Screws and bolts continued to fall out of the sofa until the footrest literally came apart. One side of the footrest came of the hardware about 1 1/2 years after purchase. I call the corporate office of Lane and talked with some lady and explained to her all the problems I had encountered from the beginning.

I told her I WAS REQUESTING that they replace the recliner that I had gotten a lemon and it was a dud from the beginning. She finally sent me a bottle of color for the leather and also sent me a heavy duty frame for the recliner along with a new seat and footrest. I like to have never found anyone who would take one this job. I finally got a fellow from the place where I purchased the recliner to help me.

I paid him $130 dollars to take the chair apart and remove the old metal framework that the chair sat on and install the heavy duty framework. He also replaced the seat and footrest as well. The problem in getting a repairman he told me was you had to have some type of special equipment to repair part of the chair. I am still not happy with the chair as I have had the same type problems occur again and again.

Bolts are still falling out of the chair. It has fallen to the right side again as it looks like it is broken as I had a broken bolt fall out of the recliner about two weeks ago. You should have seen me trying to put leather dye of the armrest of the recliner. I would not recommend that anyone purchase a Lane anything.

I'm close to the five year mark now and it should have been replaced to begin with. With all the complaints on here I'm suprised they sell anything. I was told by th furniture store that my furniture set was made by Lane ad was the top of the line.

I would hate to see the bottom of the line made by Lane. It's all a piece of ***!

I turned in the Company that I got my double reclining couch from. 3 days after delivery the cushion was sagging and the arm became loose on that same end.

A guy came to look at it for repairs and he could not believe that we had only had it for about 2 weeks, Company was supposed to order 3 new cushions for it and then when I threatened to call the Better Business Bureau I was told that there shouldn't be any issue with them ordering another new couch for us. Well, after calling several times to see if the cushions had been ordered (which was supposed to be 2 weeks) and then to see if a new couch was ordered.

As of March 7th, 2012 nothing had been done, and I mean NOTHING! I reported them to the New York State Consumer Protection Board.

I'm waiting to see what happens. You probably have a Consumer Protection Board in your state, it's worth a try.

Or the Better Business Bureau. I wish you luck with this.
